Our Marketing Management students had the incredible opportunity to hear from Hunter Holton, owner of Sunshine Event Services! 🌟 Hunter shared his inspiring journey — from starting out as a DJ to building a thriving business as a young entrepreneur. His story gave students an authentic look at the challenges, rewards, and creativity that go into building your own brand from the ground up. 🌟 Guest Speaker Spotlight! 🌟 Mrs. Cindy Marzen's AP Biology class had the incredible opportunity to hear from Hannah McAlpin, a Tift County High School graduate who's making major waves in the world of science! 🧬✨ At just 23 years old, Hannah is: 🔬 The youngest person in the country to hold a genetic research patent without a doctorate 👩‍🔬 Only one of three females to ever apply for a patent in this field of research 🎓 A molecular geneticist (or very close to it!) 📚 About to begin a double master’s program at Johns Hopkins University 💡 Completed groundbreaking research at Auburn University that’s currently under FDA review 🧪 Actively working on a clinical trial focused on pediatric leukemia 🏅 Recipient of the National Research Award from the state of Alabama 🌟 Named one of Science Atlantic’s "Top 100 to Watch in Research" for 2025 What an inspiring visit from someone who's proving that big dreams really can start in small towns.
