Mrs. Deanda’s 1st grade mathematicians are building a strong foundation in place value! 🔢✨

Students are learning to create and represent two-digit numbers in different ways, developing a deeper understanding of how numbers are composed. Through whole-group instruction and hands-on manipulatives, students are able to see, build, and explain their mathematical thinking.

We love seeing our first graders learning math through active, meaningful experiences!

Keep it up, 1st Graders! You’re growing your math brains every day! #4theT

After a long week of mastering place value, Mrs. Pritchett’s 4th graders put all their learning to the test! 🔢✨

Students participated in an engaging Around the Room activity that allowed them to apply their place value skills in a meaningful way. This hands-on activity not only reinforced the math standards being taught, but also got students up, moving, talking, collaborating, and problem-solving together.

Even better, students had opportunities to explain their thinking, support one another, and ask for help when needed. That’s what learning looks like!

Way to go, 4th Graders! Keep learning, collaborating, and growing! #4theT

🔬✨ **Little Scientists in the Making!** ✨🔬

Ms. Gaskins and Mrs. Matthews’ kindergarten scientists had an exciting time learning what a scientist is and what scientists do!

Our students learned that scientists are curious, ask questions, make observations, and conduct experiments to better understand the world around them. They had the opportunity to complete their very first science experiment and discover that they, too, can be scientists!

We are so proud of our little scientists and can’t wait to see where their curiosity takes them! 🌟🧠 Future scientists in the making! #4theT
