🍎🍏Mrs. Driver's kindergarteners had such a fun Apple Investigation Day!!
It all began with the “Mystery Box” where they had to blindly feel the item in the box (an Apple) and use describing words to tell everyone else about what they felt.
They then used ALL 5 senses to write about apples: what they smell like, look like, sound like (when biting), feel like, and that ultimately led into their Apple Stations where they got to taste different apples.
They got to weigh apples using a classroom scale, experiment to see if it would sink or float, stamp paper using Apple pieces, make a hat, and taste/vote on their favorite type of Apple.

📚⭐ Calling all Tift County Second-Grade Readers! The 2nd Grade Book Blitz begins October 1st!
From October 1st through November 1st, second graders will compete to become their school’s Super Reader by earning the highest word count in Book Taco.
To qualify, students must:
📘 Take a Book Taco quiz for each book to receive word-count credit
⭐ Maintain an average quiz score of 80% or higher
📚 Only take quizzes on books checked out from the school library in their name
Each school will recognize one Super Reader, and winners will be announced during a District-wide Reading Rally for all second graders!

Our ABCE students performed skits on our morning news for our Science Words of the Week: physical attributes and force! Through creative mini-performances, they showed their peers how we observe an object's properties and how pushes and pulls make things move. It was a fun, memorable, and engaging way to make science vocabulary stick across the whole school! 📺💡
